Dentsply Sirona is a multinational dental equipment manufacturing company. It was formed in 2016 through the merger of two major dental companies, DENTSPLY International and Sirona Dental Systems. DENTSPLY International was founded in 1899 and Sirona Dental Systems was established in 1997.Dentsply Sirona is headquartered in York, Pennsylvania, USA, and is one of the largest manufacturers of dental products and technologies in the world. The company produces a wide range of dental equipment, consumables, and dental technology solutions for both dental professionals and patients. These include dental implants, prosthetics, orthodontics, imaging systems, and CAD/CAM systems, among others. Dentsply Sirona operates globally, serving dental practices, laboratories, and other dental institutions.

The Project

We provide ongoing retail location analytics to help understand demand by locations to estalish new distribution channels and expand into new territories. We utilize various data sources, such as point-of-sale data, foot traffic data, demographic information, and spatial data, to understand customer behavior, optimize store operations, and improve overall retail performance.Key aspects of retail location analytics include:

Foot Traffic Analysis: Tracking the number of people entering and exiting a store, as well as their movements within the store, to understand patterns of customer behavior and optimize store layout and merchandising.

Customer Demographics: Analyzing demographic data to understand the characteristics of customers who visit specific retail locations, helping retailers tailor their offerings to better suit their target audience.

Competitive Analysis: Analyzing the performance of retail locations in comparison to competitors in the same area, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

Sales Performance: Analyzing sales data at the store level to understand factors influencing sales, such as seasonality, promotions, and product placement, and to optimize inventory management and pricing strategies.

Location Selection: Using demographic, economic, and spatial data to identify optimal locations for new retail stores based on factors such as population density, income levels, competition, and accessibility.

Predictive Analytics: Forecasting future sales, foot traffic, and other key metrics based on historical data and external factors, helping retailers make informed decisions about staffing, inventory, and marketing strategies.
